Evie's Party

Margot went to Evie's 3rd birthday this Saturday. Happy birthday Evie!

Aside from the slightly sinister pirate entertainer, who made everyone hide and or cry, was a great time out for all. There were about 30 kids, (3 parties in total!) and we saw Evie, Ruby, Ella, Lucas, and Emily amongst others.

The venue was a lovely Church hall in Totley and the sun was so nice we could really appreciate the grassy grounds.

Papa had a cuddle with Oliver and James, Lucas and Ella's little brothers.

Proud bilingual parents

We went for a walk in the hills with Nadia, FX, Emmanuelle and PA today, and afterwards at the Fox House Papa offered Margot one of his dumplings. After she said "Margot like a dunklings" she then turned to Maman and said "how do you say dunklings en Français?". "Beignet" said Maman, and Margot then explained that "en Anglais, c'est dunklings."

All weekend Margot has been super-extra-hyperactive, and in any given 5 minute period will want to go upstairs, downstairs, go in the car, fall off something, demand that something be explained and ask ask the same question 8 times. Maman and Papa are quite tired.

Late season sledging

They Sunday after the Saturday Papa finally got around to buying a sledge, it snowed beautiful soft, fresh snow. We headed out to the park to try it out, only taking a couple of hours to organise hats and gloves on the way.

After doing about 2 minutes of sledging, we sustained a semi-serious knuckle graze, requiring a return to base and TWO plasters. Snow was a bit melty by the time we got out, but Margot found some lovely pals to go down the hill with.

Cécile & kids come to Sheffield

This weekend Margot's auntie Cécile, plus Margot's beloved Pierre, Jacques and Pauline can to visit us in Sheffield.

We all had a wonderful time, especially Margot, who had to stay within 2 feet of Pierre at ALL TIMES.

Nana and Granddad came over to visit and we went to see Zoe in a museum (yes really) in Leeds, with everyone.

Lots of pics!

White Christmas

It's snowing in Sheffield today! We stayed out in the botanical gardens until Margot's hands got too cold.
