Margot Brown

Margot said her first words a couple of weeks ago - she pointed at a picture of a bee on the wall, and said Bee and then Abeille.

Mum and Dad were very very impressed.

This was followed by the extremely useful words Chat, Chien and Chish (fish). Since then nursery reports that she has learned the word "No", although it's never heard in our house.

This weekend she has started to listen carefully and repeat until she gets a word right. The fruits of this process include Too Paste, Spash and Tank you!

This weekend the Browns travelled to Thonon, in France, on Lac Leman (or Lake Geneva as those tricky Suisse call it), and near Geneva. The brief stop in Switzerland makes this Margot's 5th International Appearance!

The occasion was Cécile's big summer party, where Margot was delighted to meet almost everyone she met last year in Marsanne, and charmed them all with her first solo steps:

She can stand up without support in a very complex motion, take a couple of steps and drop safely to the floor. But usually she decides to crawl instead.
