London 2012!

Practically every Tuesday Papa works from home in order to take Margot swimming at the nearby King Edwards School pool. Every Tuesday afternoon is kids' afternoon, and the pool is usually filled with floating toys and happy babies.

When Margot sees her arm bands she gets pretty excited and mimes blowing them up!

SwimmingLast session (two weeks ago) Margot had become confident at floating on her own and turning in the water. She also grasped "Splash those legs".

This time Margot has outdone herself and managed to splash across an entire width of the pool unaided.

Is it too late to enter for the London Olympics?

Lumberjack Pancakes

Margot Loves BreakfastMargot loves breakfast. She also enjoys second breakfast, and third breakfast is a treat she seldom turns down.

Here she is enjoying Nancy Carr's American style LumberJack Pancakes, according to the secret recipe Nancy gave Papa when we all visited New York (some of us travelled in secret to avoid immigration).

You should also note the skilful use of a Fork to avoid buttery fingers.

The recipe can be provided on request.

Nancy emailed to say she will be using these photos in her advertising :-p.

Teenth

This week Margot had her first tantrums, starting with whining, then refusing everything using the very handy "Non!" word, then crying so hard she couldn't stop. Only her doudou "Jojo Lapin" could calm her down to only hyperventilating.

Baguettes on the BeachAs usual when we think Margot has reached a new stage of petulance, it turned out that 4 new teeth were on the way, making a grand total of 10 (5 up and 5 down).

She and Maman spent this week visiting Mamie at Tharon Plage. Mamie is pretty ill so she can't visit us. The weather was nice except for one day where it rained and Margot got to jump in puddles.

Nursery Breakfast

BreakfastMargot spends her weekdays at a Nursery not far from our house. Usually Maman and Papa drive there and say goodbye. Sometimes recently it can be a struggle to leave without her making a fuss, but once she sees breakfast coming, family is generally forgotten!

Breakfast is usually: Cornflakes, Weetabix, Rice Crispies and pieces of fruit. She sometimes gets to operate the spoon on her own.
