Endcliffe Swings

Every weekend, Margot has to take Maman and Papa out for a walk, because staying in the house all day makes them cranky and unreasonable.

SwimmingShe was delighted to find that the new Endcliffe Park Swings have finally opened, which gave her something to do while they enjoyed themselves. She suspects that Papa wanted to go on the excellent climbing frames, but sadly he was too big, and Margot was too small.

Margot in Venice

Margot in VeniceThis weekend Margot was accompanied by Stella, Grand-dad, Papa, Maman, Zoe and her friend Maggie to Venice. (This is about a week before it all flooded to waist height).

Venice and Margot got on very well, Margot enjoying the "Up-and-down" of the ubiquitous stairs, and Venice appreciating the presence of a "Bella bambina" while they waited in line for one of the many busy restaurants Margot was frequenting.

There's loads of lovely pictures in the Venice section of the gallery.

Escalators

We went to Meadowhall today so Papa could become accustomed to the impending fact of Christmas.

Papa decided to show Margot how escalators worked. 4 rides up and down later and Papa dragged Margot away, wailing for another go. Peering through the railings at the shoppers on the lower levels was pretty exciting as well.

Against our better judgement we went looking in the Bear warehouse, a doll shop, and a cards and gifts boutique. After much arguing Margot lost to Mama and Papa who chose a very tasteful monkey.

We decided to stay away from the Disney store.
