First sentence and first other thing

Margot said her first sentence today! I know I said this a week ago, but I'm really sure this time. We have just arrived at Mamie and Papies house where we will be staying for Christmas, and Maman went to make some tea. Margot turned to Papa and said "Maman go sleep?". She needs to extend her range and accuracy a bit.

On the way to the airport this morning Papa was recalling unpleasant road trips as a child, and asked Maman if he thought Margot would get car sick too... Everyone agreed it would be better if she didn't, but we didn't have to wait long to find out. At the windiest and rainest part of the top of the peak district there was a horrible noise, and when we stopped we found margot covered head to foot in vomit. It's really interesting how milk curdles in the stomach!

We wiped her down as best we could in the howling gale, and carried on to the airport, where we met Grand-dad to give him the christmas presents for the rest of the family, plus a bag of clothes and sick. Lucky Grand-dad!

I won't show you a picture of the sick, but here's something ELSE Margot and Papa have in common.

Dadot go bed now

Papa was on noodle duty tonight, as Maman went out for a work dinner. Noodle duty included bo-tul and dodo, and dodo was preceded by the usual polite struggle with several last minute stories, including "My Pets" and "Not my monster" (I recommend this series).

Once I eventually got her into her cot, I think she said "Dadot go bed now". Or maybe it was just the wishful thinking of a proud father.

She did repeat "Thank you" last week. I'm pretty sure.

I know she's mastered no: in fact she said "Nnnon" to PF after dinner today, and then once she saw Maman's surprised expression, she chortled and ate it anyway. Perhaps her first joke?
