Bad precedent
What Katell warned me about finally happened - Margot fell out of bed last night (bonk!).
Then she woke up wailing at 5am this morning, and despite Katell's feeble protestations, I took her into bed with us.

Cute as pie
Margot's bedtime story today was about a bee in the garden.
She described one scene like this:
- One buggie
- Two buggies
- An earwearwig
- A caperlapillar, and
- A spider.

Second Birthday Party
Loads of people brought toys from home for us to play with. We had ball ponds, bubble machines, carts, balloons and bucking broncos! Margot brought "Margot's bicycle" and her new birthday tent with a peppa pig theme which Stella bought her.
Nana and Granddad came along and helped with the bubbles and shrieking balloons, and were very popular with a smart looking boy called Leo (just like Margot's Uncle).
Margot's gang from nursery were all there - Edwin, Lucas and Ella.

Ella's mum made this magnificent train cake:
So thanks to all the guests for coming, we all had a lovely time!
Especial thanks to Ella's mum and grandmum, who organised the location and lots of the stuff.
more pictures on the gallery or in mobileme
These are just Brown family pics - I'm sure there's plenty more from the other guests, and I have some videos too!

Sing song
Margot is getting better at language all the time, but a few notable things recently:
* She can sing the first two lines of "Twinkle Twinkle" and knows most of "Horsey Horsey Don't you Stop".
* She can say "What colour is this?"
* She can count to trois in French - and knows that Papa and Maman have different words for things.
For those who don't know, here it is:
Horsey horsey don't you stop
Just let your feet go clippity clop.
Your tail goes swish and the wheels go 'round
Giddy up you're homeward bound

Badtime
This turned out to be a terrible mistake; It took from 8:15 (bedtime) to 9:55 to get her to sleep - she kept slipping out of bed and trying to escape out of her room, or shouted for Maman or Papa each time we tried to leave her there. Only singing to her for half an hour and lying next to her bed as a sentry eventually did the trick.
Poor Giles and Alena who came to visit hardly got to see Papa.
We had hoped to go to see Star-Trek tomorrow and leave Margot with our baby sitter (S.), but as good as S. is, I don't want to subject her to this herculean challenge.
